Cellar Person

Basic Function

The receipt, storage and distribution of all beverage and operational requirements throughout the club.

Reporting Responsibilities

Reports to the Purchasing Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

School certificate and at least 12 months experience as either a cellarpeson or cellar assistant. Experience with a computerised stock control program and a good command of both written and spoken English. Accuracy and attention to detail in record keeping essential. A level of fitness appropriate to moving kegs of beer and wine weighing up to 65 kg and manually loading and unloading cartons of wine, beer and soft drink.

Duties and Responsibilities

The receipt, storage and recording of all suppliers deliveries.
Daily set up of beer keg banks, bulk spirit tanks, bulk wine kegs and gas bottles.
Completion of weekly beer line cleaning procedures.
Daily completion of all stock requisitions to all areas of the club, including delivery to those areas.
Sorting and destruction of empty bottles for collection by the recycling contractor.
Scheduled dismantling and maintenance of all beer, wine and post mix drawing and dispensing equipment including keg room manifolds, keg taps, transfer leads, bar taps and spirit measures.
Scheduled cleaning and maintenance of all ice machine filters and bar temprite units.
Daily cleaning and weekly floor scrubbing of all coolroom areas.
Scheduled count of all stock on hand and reconciliation with current records.
Perform any duties or tasks as directed by the Purchasing Supervisor.
