Bar Attendant

Basic Function

Providing efficient and accurate service of alcoholic and soft drinks.

Reporting Responsibilities

Reports to Operations Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

School Certificate (or equivalent). Previous experience in a customer service role preferable. Good command of both written and spoken English. Basic mathematical skills are essential. Good customer service skills. Must be able to work as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Accurate operation of an electronic cash register.
Providing efficient and accurate service of alcoholic and soft drinks.
Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace.
Hygienic preparation and serving of beverages.
Opening and closing of bar areas when required.
General cleaning of the club’s operational areas, specifically the following

• Table ashtrays and metal floor bins
• Table tops in all the bar and showroom areas
• Visible glass areas
• Walkways and carpeted areas
• Car park and outside walkways
• Spot cleaning of public toilet areas

Compliance and knowledge of the Clubs articles of Association , including relevant Statutes , Acts of parliament and Government Regulations Specifically as follows:

• Liquor Act
• Registered Clubs Act
• Anti - Discrimination Act.
