Melbourne Cup Day is always one of the biggest party days at Canterbury, with a grand lunch, live entertainment, giveaways, lucky door prizes and full TAB facilities for a flutter on the big race. It is just $60 per person for a special day including buffet lunch. Bookings essential through reception, and you can pick up a buffet lunch menu there too.

Flame Restaurant offers a range of specials tailored to the seasons. The specials are designed to reward members in a way that is in line with the sort of discernment embodied in Flame Restaurant. The specials change regularly. Those in place at the moment are:

The Squash Club at Canterbury will hold a lavish dinner on November 6 to celebrate its 50^th. anniversary. The club was formed in 1960 with about 20 C-grade members. It now has 150 active participants, and over the decades has won 20-odd premiership titles and produced an impressive list of champions. The dinner will be held in the Paragon Room, and some of the club founders will be in attendance.

To help you stay in touch at Canterbury, FREE WiFi Internet Access will be available in the club premises at Belmore from June 1. Access will be available in the various function rooms, including the Terrace Bar, and patrons in the Banyan Brasserie and The Dynasty will be within range. This service is available to members and visitors via their own laptop computer with wireless access.

Members have voted at a General Meeting of the Bulldogs League Club to pursue an amalgamation with Earlwood Ex-Servicemen’s Club.
