From their humble origins over 70 years ago, the Bulldogs have risen to take a leading role in the NRL competition.

The Bulldogs last won the premiership in 2004, and ran very close in 2009 before falling to Parramatta in the grand final qualifier. It was a grand season for the Bulldogs, who had been wooden spooners in 2008.
