Canterbury currently has more than 520 employees working across three properties and is in the business of offering unparalleled service to members, their guests and patrons. Since our inception in 1956 Canterbury has proudly become known as one of the most progressive and successful club groups in NSW.

Before you apply – Please Consider:

  • Canterbury is a 24-hour per day, 7-day per week business with a heavy demand for people to work evenings and on the weekend.
  • You MUST have obtained both a Liquor Administration Board (LAB) approved - Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificate to be considered for a position.
  • Successful applicants will undergo an interview, pre-employment medical examination, have their referees and previous work history verified before being offered a six month qualifying period.
  • Conditions of Employment will be governed by the (NAPSA) Club Employees (State) Award and Canterbury Policies, Procedures and Rules.
  • Canterbury notes the importance of experience but places greater emphasis on suitability to customer service and the working of shift work hours.

Canterbury is about customer satisfaction. We reach excellence in this field by the employees we have working in the following departments – Gaming, Food & Beverage, Security and Surveillance, Administration and Maintenance – at our Belmore, Lakemba and Bateau Bay properties.
